Library Technology, Services, & Spaces

Technology

There are 30 computers in the Hattiesburg library lab and 9 computers in the Tradition lab available for currently enrolled WCU students.  Each computer has Respondus Lockdown Browswer software installed to allow students to take quizzes through Canvas.  Additionally, we have headphones available for checkout and one portable DVD player (Hattiesburg) which can be used in the library.

Services

A librarian is available on campus in the library from 8am until 10pm Monday - Thursday, and from 8am until 5pm on Friday.  Additionaly, Students may request a personal research consultation by visiting the library's website and choosing the appropriate option if they require individual assistance from a librarian.

Space

The library has a computer lab and a study area with both large and small tables available for student use.  We also have a classroom with dry erase board and projector available.  The lectern accommodates WCU issued laptops.  If you use a personal laptop, you will need to bring your own cord.  The classroom may be requested for library instruction, for your class, or for meetings.  Scheduling is first-come, first-serve with the understanding that occasionally, the room is booked during certain time slots for the entire trimester.

Event Library

Request the library attend your campus event with related materials that can be checked out on site.
